If your computer has been feeling a little sluggish recently, the good news is that in most cases, the issue can often be fixed without the need to replace it. If you live in Horncastle, Woodhall Spa or sourrounding areas, we can perform a mobile PC health check, including checking for any unwanted programs and malware. (Often, when you download programs on to your PC, other programs get bundled in, and can cause your computer to run more slowly over time.)

We can also help with new software installations, such as upgrading from Windows 7/8 to Windows 10/11.

Windows System Reset

This service restores your computer back to its original factory settings.

This may come in useful if you are wanting to sell your computer, or we do actually recommend doing a clean install of Windows every 2 or 3 years to keep things running smoothly. We can also complete this at your home address if required.

Computer Health Check

An MOT for your computer. We check to make sure that there isn’t any unwanted malware, viruses, or spyware installed.

We also give the internals a good clean out to make sure that the fans inside can keep your computer nice and cool. This aids performance and longevity, and reduces fire risk.

We can also offer advice on any upgrades for your computer.

Virus Removal

This service is for computers that have been infected with a virus. Our removal service will take care of them for you, restoring it back to how things should be.

We will also make sure that Windows Defender is configured correctly.

Hardware Upgrades

We often get asked “What is the best upgrade I can do for my PC?” and the answer is almost always the same, whether you use it for gaming, or just every day tasks, we say “Get an SSD”.

SSD stands for ‘Solid State Drive’ and it is the part inside your computer that stores everything, including all of your files and photos. Traditional ‘HDD’ drives or ‘Hard Disk Drives’ are much slower and less reliable because they rely on moving parts, whereas an SSD has no moving parts and is therefore MUCH faster.

We have seen systems go from taking 2-3 minutes to boot up, to only taking seconds with this upgrade, with improved response times in almost every area. The best part is that they aren’t really that expensive!

Prices for this service start at £40*, and for simple jobs such as installing a new fan, RAM, or an additional hard drive, we can complete the upgrade at your home address. For anything more complex, such as motherboard, CPU, or hard drive replacement, we would need to collect and re-deliver your computer.

The above price does not include the cost of parts, but does include our mobile service as long as you are within a 10 mile radius of Horncastle. Anything beyond this would be agreed beforehand.
