Definitions and interpretation.
Please read these terms and conditions carefully, as they set out our and your legal rights and obligations in relation to any of the services provided by New System Computers.
You should print a copy of these terms and conditions for future reference. We will not file a copy specifically in relation to you, and they may not be accessible on our website in future.
These terms and conditions are available in the English language only.

New System Computers offer repair services for Desktop PC’s & Laptops. All repairs are carried out by trained technicians, and every reasonable care is taken by New System Computers in each case to prevent damage or loss where possible while a repair is being carried out. However, New System Computers do not accept responsibility for any damage or consequential loss/damage that may occur as a result of a repair failure.
It is the clients responsibility to ensure all data is backed up and stored on separate hardware prior to any repair service request. Failure to do so could result in permanent data loss, for which New System Computers cannot accept responsibility. We do offer data backup/recovery services, and these can be requested in advance of any repair work.
In some cases, an item may be considered ‘Beyond economical repair’. This would be where the cost of repairing the item exceeds that of purchasing the equivalent new device/model. New System Computers will inform the client in such cases before completing any work where possible.
If a home or business call-out is booked and the client is not present at the agreed allotted time, we reserve the right to apply our standard minimum time for call-out fee. (£50) If the client is located beyond the 10 mile free radius, then additional charges in proportion may apply.
The client may cancel an agreed home or business call-out at any time up to and but not including the same day prior to the agreed appointment time. Otherwise, normal call out charges will apply.
In the event that we have to cancel an appointment, the client will be notified as soon as possible to arrange a new time. “New System Computer Services” cannot accept any responsibility for damages caused as a result of a missed appointment.
Although both the workshop and the business are located at a physical address, we do not offer a walk in service or shop front. Repairs are either done on-site, or via our collect, repair, and return service.
Remote Support Services.
Remote Support assistance is a service that we offer where a repair does not require an on-site visit. An example of this might include configuring a new email account, or help with recovering a lost password. This service is by appointment only, and to be used by our recommendation only.
Remote support sessions are normally conducted via the built in Windows ‘Quick Assist’ application, or Teamviewer.
Our main forms of accepted payments include BACS or Cash. We do also accept cheques where neither former method is an option, but there is a small admin fee for this. We can also accept card payments via our online invoicing service, however this tends to be by request only due to additional charges. We currently cannot accept on-site payments via card.
Monthly payments for our hosting packages and other ongoing services must be paid by direct debit which is collected on or around the 1st of each calendar month.
An invoice is generated internally for every client, and can be sent on request via email or directly with delivery. “New System Computer Services” require payment on receipt of any invoice, unless otherwise agreed and stated on the original invoice, or agreed in writing via email. Invoices must be paid in full before or on the due date stated on the invoice. If full payment has not been received by the invoice due date, then “New System Computer Services” will endeavor to contact the customer/client using details provided by the customer, to inform them & arrange a solution. In the event where a payment becomes overdue, then “New System Computer Services” reserves the right to retrospectively remove any discounts that had been applied to the original invoice, and apply late payment penalty fees.
Where goods are being delivered, payment is required on delivery.
Late payment fees are calculated as interest on the overdue amount at the rate of 8% per annum above the current Bank of England base rate (which interest will accrue daily until the date of actual payment and be compounded at the end of each calendar month). Whenever this applies, there will also be a one off late payment collection fee of £40.
“New System Computer Services” reserve the right to request immediate payment for any completed job, and to limit payment to a certain method.
Computer/Laptop parts, any other hardware, or software that is needed to complete a repair or service can be purchased by either the client or “New System Computer Services”. In the latter case, these items remain the property of ‘New System Computer Services’ until such a time that payment has been received in full.
In the event where every reasonable attempt has been made to contact the customer and collect payment without success, and it becomes necessary to pursue legal action, ‘New System Computer Services’ reserves the right to add any legal fees or court costs incurred to the owed amount.
Direct Debit & interest free payments are offered for some of the services provided by ‘New System Computer Services’. If a Direct Debit needs to be cancelled at any time, then the customer will need to contact “New System Computer Services” by telephone or email to notify us. Our cancellation policy for any monthly service requires 30 days of notice. In this event there will not be a cancellation fee.
If a Direct Debit is cancelled without notification, or payment is declined, or fails, “New System Computer Services” will make every reasonable attempt to contact the customer using the details provided by the customer to discuss a solution. Where this can be resolved within 7 days of initial contact, then there will be no charge. If this goes beyond 7 days after the payment is due or initial contact, (whichever is later, then additional late payment charges will apply (Annual statutory interest on the debt (8%) + the Bank of England’s base rate per day, plus a one-off payment collection fee of £40.)
Payment plans offered for physical goods via newsystemcomputers.co.uk/shop are only offered via 3rd party payment providers.
File and Data Recovery.
The client accepts that New System Computers will not examine the contents of any file contained on the media supplied to them other than for testing purposes.
We accept no responsibility or liability whatsoever for the contents, integrity, functionality, corruption or usefulness of any data recovered.
Service Levels and Data Backup. (Website Hosting)
New System Computer Services shall use its reasonable endeavors to make the server and the Services available to the Customer 100% of the time but because the Services are provided by means of computer and telecommunications systems, New System Computer Services makes no warranties or representations that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free and New System Computer Services shall not, in any event, be liable for interruptions of Service or downtime of the server.
All data backups are securely stored in accordance with the GDPR, at the required levels of encryption.
New System Computer Services can provide domain names subject to availability. These can be purchased separately or as part of a pay monthly hosting package, but only for use within our systems. Sole domain ownership will remain with New System Computers Services until such point that the outstanding domain related balances have been settled. Upon full payment, the customer can chose to transfer the domain away from us.
Estimates for Services.
Where necessary, New System Computers will provide an estimate prior to carrying out any work. This will be done either via email or via our website. Estimates are not quotes, and unless otherwise stated, prices can be subject to change, however the client will be notified as soon as possible where this applies.
All goods and services are subject to availability. Most parts can be acquired within 1-2 working days, but in each case the client will be informed and kept up-to-date where this process takes longer.
New System Computers shall not be liable for any claims regarding the physical functioning of equipment/media or the condition or existence of data on storage media supplied before, during or after service.
In no event will New System Computers be liable for any damage to the laptop/desktop, loss of data, loss of revenue or profits, or any special, incidental, contingent, or consequential damages, however caused, before, during or after service.
The client and New System Computers agree that the sole and exclusive remedy for unsatisfactory work or data shall be, at New System Computers option, additional attempts by Bits and PCs (London) to recover satisfactory data or refund of the amount paid by the client.
The client is aware of the inherent risks of data loss and property damage involved in laptop/desktop repair.
Warranty terms apply to any device sold or worked on by”New System Computer Services” unless otherwise stated on the final invoice. The standard warranty term is 90 days from the date of completion/re-delivery. This warranty covers any failure of hardware of software occurring as a direct result of a repair or similar service carried out by New System Computers.
What does this limited warranty cover?
This Limited Warranty covers any defects in material or workmanship under normal use during the Warranty Period.
During the Warranty Period, New System Computer Services will repair or replace, at no charge, products or parts of a product that proves defective because of improper material or workmanship, under normal use and maintenance.
What will we do to correct problems?
In the event of a warranty claim, New System Computers will first determine the best way to resolve the problem for both the client and New System Computers. This could involve additional repair work, or replacement of an item of similar specification depending on which option is the most economical at the time. If additional parts are required further to the initial repair, then the cost of such parts are not covered by this warranty.
How long does the coverage last?
The Warranty Period for physical goods purchased from New System Computer Services is 90 days from the date of purchase unless otherwise stated on the initial advert or final invoice.
A replacement physical good or part assumes the remaining warranty of the original Physical Good or 90 days from the date of replacement or repair, whichever is longer.
What does this limited warranty not cover?
This Limited Warranty does not cover any problem that is caused by:
● conditions, malfunctions or damage not resulting from defects in material or workmanship.
This includes but is not limited to, physical or liquid damage, operation outside of normal temperature range etc.
Any attempt at disassembly by the customer or any other 3rd party will invalidate any warranty supplied by New System Computer Services.
Any failure of hardware or software that’s within the manufacturers warranty period, unless any damage is proven to be as a direct result of a repair or similar service carried out by New System Computers is not covered by this warranty. New System Computers reserve the right to determine whether a fault can reasonably be diagnosed as outside of it’s control.
Software faults or the client’s device being re-infected with a virus after an initial repair.
What do you have to do?
To obtain warranty service, you must first contact New System Computer Services to determine the problem and the most appropriate solution for you. New System Computer Services will not accept reimbursement requests for repair work carried out by a 3rd party.
It is the clients responsibility to inform New System Computers of any warranty claim they wish to make within the 90 day term via email, or telephone. Failure to do so within the 90 day term would mean the warranty has expired, and cannot be used to make a claim.
Returns & Refund Policy
In most cases, goods purchased from New System Computers are covered by a 3 Month Warranty from the date of purchase as standard unless otherwise stated. If you’re unsure, please contact us before purchase. Any item not covered or outside of our warranty is covered under the terms below.
For items purchased from New System Computers, if a fault occurs within 30 days of receipt, we will offer you a full refund. You also have the right to change your mind within the first 14 days of purchase. When we receive the item, an appraisal will be done to ensure no damage has been sustained other than normal wear and tear. Once accepted, a refund will be issued. The customer is liable for any shipping costs to return an item unless it has been classed and accepted by us as faulty, in which case any shipping costs will be reimbursed within 7 days of the refund being accepted.
- Made to order items such as Custom PCs and laptops are exempt and will not be refunded if you change your mind.
- Software products
- If you have already agreed to a repair service, no refunds will be given for parts and labour costs

Recording of Phone Calls to New System Computer Services.
Calls may be recorded by “New System Computer Services” for training, safety reasons, and to keep a record of what has been agreed or discussed with “New System Computer Services”. All clients agree that recorded calls may be used as evidence to protect “New System Computer Services”.
Whilst every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the information above, we cannot guarantee a complete lack of error.
New System Computers will not be held responsible for any damage or loss as a result of content displayed on this website.
If a Clause of the Agreement is determined by any court or other competent authority to be unlawful and/or unenforceable, the other Clauses of the Agreement will continue in effect. If any unlawful and/or unenforceable Clause would be lawful or enforceable if part of it were deleted, that part will be deemed to be deleted, and the rest of the Clause will continue in effect (unless that would contradict the clear intention of the parties, in which case the entirety of the relevant Clause will be deemed to be deleted).
We reserve the right to amend the content displayed on this website and any of our documentation – including terms and conditions – at any time without prior notice. We reserve the right to refuse any of our goods or services at our discretion.
1. Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the issue date. The gift voucher expiration date will be stated on the sales receipt. Please note that we cannot except any voucher that was issued more than 12 months ago.
2. Vouchers cannot be replaced if lost, stolen or destroyed.
3. Vouchers cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash or other denominated vouchers.
4. Vouchers cannot be sold to any third parties without our prior consent. If a voucher is found to have been sold, then we reserve the right to refuse it’s use.
5. Vouchers rewarded from reviews are limited to 1 per household.
6. Vouchers rewarded from reviews are only applicable from 13/07/23.
7. To claim a voucher based on a review, the review must be a true representation of the experience provided by New System Computers. Any review that can be proved as untruthful will not qualify, and further action may be taken.
8. Vouchers rewarded from reviews will be sent via email with 7 days of a confirmed review being left.
